Falcated teal (Anas falcata georgi). Falcated teal (Anas falcata georgi). 

One pair in the main garden.  They look similar to the wigeon because of the high crown. During breeding the male will have a crown. The front of the head and cheeks are a bright metallic bronzy-purple: the remainder of the head from the eye back to the long, sleek nuchal crest is a deep glossy green. The female will nest near water in a nest box.  The egg clutch size is 7-9 brownish eggs
